I started taking walks when I was 15 because there wasn’t much else to do. Over the years, it’s been a great practice. I tend to undervalue it because of some of the very things that make it great. It’s not strenuous. It’s easy to fit a few minutes of walking into a busy schedule. It’s accessible. Something weird has to happen to injure yourself walking. In addition to all that, it exercises pretty much the same muscles as running does. It’s just slower. It’s been a great thing to do with friends over the years. And I’m way behind on that aspect of it.
