In the past week, I’ve found myself encouraging several people recovering from bad colds to continue to be patient and not work out. Certainly, there are plenty of times when lacing up your shoes and going for a run when you don’t feel like it is the thing to do. However, sometimes it’s important to recognize that when your body is recovering from illness or injury, the last thing it needs is exertion. At those times, being disciplined comes from recognizing that and resting.
